The sense of place is defined by the site activities, weather
conditions, surrounding circumstances, background noises and lots of other factors giving each place a unique character and appearance. We were asked to identify the common sense of a journey to an unknown destination. We had to record the thresholds, the transition from one to another, and the main dispositions defining them as individual sectors.

For the first speculation, we aimed to make the ruins of the old mill easily accessible as they were the last point of the path. The stream was the most difficult and risky part of our journey, so we decided to secure the fallen tree trunk with a handrail.
The second speculation was for planting trees around the whiskey bond. In fact,
for the bond to get built, at least 300 trees were removed from the location. Through creating a tree boundary between the bond and the ruins, we emphases on each site characteristics.
There was no path going down to the lake from the old mill, so we decided to suggest a bridge over the railway and pier that could make the lake more accessible and also a preferred destination in the summer days.
